He forgives us and forgets - 1
SO MANY CHRISTIANS CLAIM JESUS DIED FOR ALL OUR SINS AND WE CAN GO ON SINNING BECAUSE OF THAT!!
WELL I BEG TO DIFFER HERE BY USING THE WORDS OF GOD THE FATHER AND NOT MY OWN!! VERSE 25 HERE, PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION PLEASE...
SINS OF THE PAST, NOT PRESENT OR FUTURE SINS!! SO WHEN WE DO SIN WE CAN GO TO THE FATHER AND WITH A SINCERE HEART REPENT AND MEAN IT, ASK THE FATHER TO FORGIVE US, AND HE NOT ONLY WILL FORGIVE US, HE ALSO FORGETS ALL ABOUT THOSE RECENT PAST SINS..
Romans Chapter 3:23-25
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his
blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of SINS OF THE
PAST, through the forbearance of God;.. << No change of words, I
just capitalized the key words here...
1 John Chapter 1:5-10
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
So Daily we can come to the Father
Every day can be a clean slate, if we ask the Father daily to forgive us all our sins known and unknown that day... for we are all sinners... He forgives us and forgets all those sins...We are clean once again!!
Jesus died for our sins from our past, when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior, and we are washed clean.. but do we go out and sin again the next day, because we are still in the flesh??
Do we not get ourselves dirty again and again by sinning??
Every time we sin, do we crucify Jesus again??
God forbid!!
- But every time we sin we must repent and ask the Father to forgive us and He will not only forgive us, He will forget all about them...
Then we are to try not to purposely sin...
18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
Jesus is my Lord and Savior...
