Stan's praise report
Has anyone ever noticed that the men and women of The Bible all suffered at
some point in their lives for God???
Today, people don't want to hear a message that suggests that they might have to even lift a finger, much less suffer in some way for God or for Christ. My personal experience has been one of tests, when I finally decided to submit everything and I mean everything to God, I had just been through 2 years of very difficult times.
I prayed and prayed and nothing changed, at least nothing that I was aware of, the biggest change was coming and it would be my life. I hear folks openly discuss their desire to be like this person or that person without any idea of where that person came from or what they went through to get where they are. Most people want instant results, clap your hands and magically they're changed into this wonderful being that everyone looks up to and now they want to be like you. There were times when the tests seemed unbearable, there were times when I questioned if I wanted to be there, if I really wanted God's will to be done in my life.
When these times occurred, I would pray and pray and pray, I would also think about Jesus in the garden when He asked His Father, take this cup from me. Jesus knew that He would suffer an unbearable experience, that He would have to even die a horrible death for an uncaring, selfish, arrogant people, and yet He said, Father, your will, not mine be done. Please understand that what I experienced was in no way like what Jesus experienced, it was a test of perseverance, it was a test of my core being and honesty when I prayed that God's will be done in my body, mind, heart, soul and life. What you must understand is that God knows everything about you, The Bible states that He even knows what you will say before you say it. Too many "good time Charlies" in the world, too many people who want God to serve them at a minutes notice.
These folks spend their lives doing what they want, when they want, wherever they want and when it doesn't work out, they will blame God, even demand that God fix it, God knows these people well! I also hear people who have a heart for God, who I believe want that relationship with Him, a true relationship. Most of these people serve God and serve Jesus in their limited way, many without the one thing that's necessary to have a relationship with God and to understand His Word, the gift of The Holy Spirit. Having a relationship with God is no mystery, The Bible explains it clearly, here's the catch, most people do not understand The Word of God and most churches are led by people who are not Spirit filled, you know, the blind leading the blind. If it's truly your desire to serve God, to serve Jesus and to receive The Gift of The Holy Spirit, then you need to make the biggest decision of your life, total and complete submission.
Satan will immediately do everything to keep you from following through, look what he did to Jesus in the wilderness, and in the garden, even our Christ was not immune from the serpents attacks. I prayed and prayed that God would use me, that He would "trust" me with His Word and nothing happened, I prayed this for years folks, not just days or weeks. Today we have a short time before Jesus returns, God is not asking for "lip service", He's not looking for part time employees, He's not looking for people looking for a quick fix, He's not looking for those people who have a short attention span, He's not looking at your pedigree, He's not looking for usurpers or the false preacher or teacher who's only interested in themselves, He's not looking for "SLICKERS", God is looking for "STICKERS".
If you've reached a point in your life when you realize the futility of your life, when you realize what your decisions have gotten you, when you realize that God is the answer to everything in this life, that He is Almighty, that The Bible is The True Word of God, and your ready to "submit" everything and I mean everything to God, then and only then will you be ready for your transformation, for the gift of The Spirit. Only recently have I realized how few people are Spirit filled and I mean very few, this is the result of spending their lives serving/worshiping a church, a religion and never being taught The Truth. Mark 10:17 KJB And when he (Jesus) was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to Him, and asked Him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? Amen.
Have you asked God this question, have you asked Jesus this question, have you agreed to TOTAL SUBMISSION, giving your body, mind, heart, soul and life to God every day for all eternity, anything less is not sufficient and the rich young man walked away! John 3:5 KJB Jesus said, Verily, verily (of truth, of truth) I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and OF THE SPIRIT, he CANNOT (CANNOT) enter into the kingdom of God! Amen This quote from Jesus should not be taken lightly, but then nothing in The Bible should be.
Are you truly ready to serve your God, are you ready to serve your Lord and Savior, are you ready to tell satan to go to hell and rebuke him, are you ready to be changed, for the change that God had planned for you from before the foundation of the earth? If your sincere in your desire, Jesus says that He will give you your hearts desire, just don't give Him lip service ever again. Kneel down and pray The Spirit, think about Jesus in the garden and think about Him sweating drops of blood, ask God to use you, submit yourself totally to Him with all your heart and mind, and don't stop there, follow up every day, all day long, until you convince God of the sincerity of your heart.
He's waiting to hear form you, do it today, procrastination is a symptom of hesitation. This message was a little long, but then so is eternal hell, if you love God, if you love Jesus, it's not an inconvenience, it's life saving and fulfilling, it's what you been looking for all your life!
