He did for us! 2 of 9

From Face Book post by - Tricia Annette

How many of your sins did Jesus die for?

How many had you committed when He died?

 Answers...

He died for ALL of my sins and at the time He died I had not been born..
but He still died for all my sins, the ones before I came to know Him and the ones since I came to know Him...
they are all covered by His blood!

Yes, I confess my sins to my Father daily and come into agreement that I messed up and accept His cleansing from that.

No Grace is not a license to keep on sinning, but it is God's grace given to us for when we do mess up. Christians who struggle with homosexual lives are no less loved by God than the man who can't control how much he drinks, or eats, or his temper...
sin is sin..

God's GRACE is big enough for all of us! The reason so many run from the church is this fear of judgment!

Jesus caught the woman in adultery and didn't judge and didn't let those there judge her...he forgave her and told her to go and sin no more...

Now does that mean if a homosexual goes to Christ - that the moment you come to Christ all those desires are going to be gone?  No it means that once you know the truth in your heart - why would you continue to sin?

What if you just stumbled upon an evangelism event and simply heard that Jesus loves you, just as you are and He wants to forgive you and set you free...you accept that, but have no clue that what you are doing is wrong... does that mean you can't truly be a Christian until you change?

The power to change comes from God and God alone...we don't clean up and come to Him, we come to Him just as we are and then let Him convict and change us.

He did for us what we could never do for ourselves!

He forgives us and forgets - 2

The Christian world is obsessed with sin!  Many go forth pointing out all the sins of the world and whatever each person is doing...

Did you know that the message of Christianity is not just stop sinning!

  ------------------------------------------------------

John 17:3  (NIV)

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

So what should you do?

Matthew 6:33New International Version (NIV)

33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
--------------------------------------------------------

Because once you get you eyes and thought s off yourself and place them upon God  -  all the other things will fall into place!
Sin is not the problem - your self centerness and personal pride is problem...

Let's use the Cafeteria model:

Looking at a person who is out living off the streets.  You can say " Why don't you stop dumpster diving? " or " Why don't you get a job?" or  " if you only tried you could get off dope and drugs!".  While all these things are exactly what the homeless person needs  - it generally does not really change their life or existence!

But once you show them a better way - like getting them into an elaborate Cafeteria - where they can get all sorts of good foods - then with is available they will not go dumpster diving ...    Because they see there is a better way and choose to turn from their wasted past...

*** This is exactly how people will respond once they come to truly know the Lord Jesus in their life because He has done for them what they could never do for themselves.

" Now this is eternal life: that you might know that you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."  - John 17:3
This is the whole purpose and goal of the Christian life!
Come to Know the Lord Christ in your life!

This is how people turn from a sinful life - they choose to do it because they now know and want the better life! So why would you go dumpster diving when you can dine in the finest restaurants?

The only real answer is you would stop dumpster diving (sin) because you now know a much better way!   Who knowing this would return to a pig pen??
