Why balance ??

Why is it Important to Balance Chemical Equations?

Chemical equations must always be balanced. The law of conservation of mass states that the quantity of each element that is present at the beginning of a reaction must be equal to the quantity of each element that is present at the end of the reaction. Thus, each side of a chemical equation must symbolize an equal amount of any element that is present in the equation. Furthermore, balancing a chemical equation is the process used to determine how many molecules of each substance are present in the reactants and products of a reaction.

Example:

What is the chemical equation for photosynthesis in words?

In words, Water + Carbon Dioxide --&; Glucose + Oxygen In balanced equation,

 carbon dioxide + water ==> glucose + oxygen 6CO2 + 6H2O + uv light energy ------> C6H12O6 + 6O2

  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chemical equations are one of the most important aspects of chemistry, as it helps chemists understand what happens during a chemical reaction. Especially for chemistry students, learning how to read, write, and balance chemical equations is the first step to understanding and predicting how various chemicals will react with one another.

Therefore, it is important to memorize the chemical symbols on the scientific periodic table so that you can easily get through reading and writing chemical equations in class and when you are out working in the field as a chemist or chemical engineer.

One thing my Chemistry Professor told us in college:

  " If you do not get anything else from this course  - understand that we {humans} can not either create nor destroy matter...  We can split it, mix it, measure it, separate it, combine it, weigh it, heat it, cool it  - but never do we nor can we add or subtract from the actual elements involved... "

 **  There is eternal laws or principles which state that there are balances in   way all elements of creation function or work!

They are all part of the eternal clock or order of The Lord God's Grand Creation!
Once you realize this in your life then all the other things in creation will fall into your understanding!
