 " Blessed are the Merciful for they shall be shown Mercy. "   Matt 5:7

Mercy is part of Almighty God's own nature!
" The Lord God the compassionate and gracious God, is slow to anger, abounding in Love and Faithfulness... " Exodus 34:6
The Lord God expects mercy from his people:
" He has shown you , O' people, what is good. What does the Lord require of You?
But to act justly and to love mercy and walk humbly with your God. " Micah 6:8
  =======================================================================
The world teaches:
  " We want Justice! "
 " Take no prisoners "
 These are key slogans of the proud, those who think themselves strong, in control and careless...
This is the plan in the world of the wealthy and famous...
Our world idolizes the arrogant and merciless in most sports, and other contested activities
You can see this in the movies and books .
Such as  " We are the champions - there is no place for losers. "
" Mercy has become a liability - it is way too costly and will prevent the attainment of humans goals. "

What Jesus taught in the Sermon on the mount!
Jesus challenges the way the rest of the world thinks.
He lifts up mercy as an essential quality. In fact mercy is what Jesus's whole life was about.
because He showed God's mercy upon us!
In many places Jesus makes the connection between giving mercy and receiving it!
{see Matt 6:12-15; 18:21-35}

We can never buy God's Mercy by our actions of mercy; because only those who know God's Mercy can be truly merciful and receive one God's most precious gifts - Eternal Life!
